Christmas Welcoming

With Christmas aproaching far to fast lois's thoughts move to the welcoming rota! Teams are needed over christmas and new year and it would be great if we were able to help. Lois particularly needs a team for the 10.30am service on the 24th and teams for the morning and evening on the 31st. It will be quieter over Christmas, but it's also a time when lots of lost sheep wander back to see what is going on, and a time when we meet lots of visitors who are staying with Woodies people, so it would be great if we could make them welcome. Please do let us know if you can help out.

Christmas Quiz!

This Tuesday (12 Dec) at pastorate we'll be having a meal together as usual followed by a Christmas quiz! Our quiz master for the evening will be the one and only Simon Eakins (so it will probably be quite hard - all good practice for the inter-pastorate games however!).

This is a great chance to invite your work colleagues and friends from outside of church to a fun and low key social where they can meet our pastorate community.

7.15 in the Crypt.
Sian's group are cooking.
Prayer Ministry this Sunday
**Also, this Sunday morning we are on ministry team - do take this opportunity to be praying for people. If the thought of praying for others as part of a ministry team scares you, why not ask if you can pray along someone else?**

Simply Christian

A thought provoking précis of his latest book, this is a very accessible yet theological look at the Christian Faith by Tom Wright. You may already know his "for Everyone" series on New Testament books...
